1. How do I register?
Register online with active.com or, for a slightly higher fee, by printing a registration form from our website and mailing it.
2. How do I know if I am registered?

3. There is an error in my entry information. What should I do?

4. When and where do I pick-up my race packet?
Race packet pick-up is 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at Scheels Sports in Kirkwood Mall, located near the intersection of Third Street and Bismarck Expressway in south Bismarck.
5. I am not able to make it to race packet pick-up. What are my options?
If you are not able to pick up your race packet Friday, Sept. 17, you may have someone else pick up your packet. If this is not an option for you either, email run@bismarckmarathon.com and we will have your race packet available 6 a.m. race morning at the race start.
6. Is the Kroll’s Diner Bismarck Marathon a Boston qualifier?
Yes. The Kroll’s Diner Bismarck Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Race results will be published online at www.bismarckmarathon.com immediately following the race. We also e-mail our race results to the Boston Marathon officials for proof.
7. Where should I park for the race?

8. What type of sport drink and gel is available on the trail?
Lemon-lime Gatorade and water is provided throughout the race course. Honey Stinger gel will be available at mile 17.
9. Can I use my iPod?
For safety reasons, the use of iPods/headphones are strongly discouraged. Runners who choose to wear headphones do so at their own risk. The race course is not a closed course and the use of headphones may prevent you from hearing traffic and verbal instructions.
10. May I push a stroller/baby jogger in the race?
No. Because portions of the race course are not closed to motorized traffic, strollers and joggers are not allowed. For the same safety concerns, leashed dogs are not allowed along the race course either.
11. What instructions do I need to know for my relay team?
Relay team race instructions are posted (click here) and will be provided in your runner packets. Any additional relay questions will be answered by marathon committee members at the registration information booth.
12. How do relay members get to the relay exchange sites?
All relay participants must use the designated bus transportation to ensure runner safety throughout the event. Ignoring this rule is grounds for team disqualification. Relay bus departure times will be included in the relay runners’ race packets. See previous FAQ for relay team instructions.
13. Who do I contact to volunteer?

14. I am injured, pregnant and/or no longer able to attend the race, can I get a refund?
Entry fees are non-refundable. The only exception that will be made is for those who are on active military duty and are deployed for service. Submit a copy of deployment papers along with a mailing address to request the refund.
15. Can I defer my entry to next year?
No. Entry deferments are not permitted.
16. Can I give/sell my registration to another person?
No. Transferring your registration to another runner is not allowed.
17. Can I switch from the marathon to the half marathon, or from the half to the full?
Yes, you can switch events up until Friday Sept. 10 via email to run@bismarckmarathon.com or by calling 701-220-9162.
18. Are walkers allowed to participate?
Yes, so long as they can finish in the 6.5-hour time limit.
19. Are showers available after the race?
Showers are available free of charge to all participants at the Missouri Valley Family YMCA, 1608 N. Washington St., 255-1525. Your race number will serve as your free pass to use the shower room.
